There are many reasons and causes that could trigger depression in dogs.
Dogs Get Depressed Too, and some of the most common reasons are: Relocating to a new home, being abandoned or separated from the pack on frequent ocassions, left in shelters or in a dog hotel while the humans are away on holidays etc, when a member of the family passes away and when removed from its territory initial pack to a new location. Dogs are highly social animals and when left for too long away from its pack members it can cause serious psychological implications.
