PHOTO-WORTHY SETTING
Nestled beside the tranquil waters of Ramboda, our restaurant blends nature, culture, and cuisine.

Was born from a passion for nature, Sri Lankan cuisine, and heartfelt hospitality, all set against the dramatic backdrop of Ramboda Ella Waterfall. What began as a family-run venture has blossomed into one of the most talked-about dining experiences in the hill country.
Perched on a scenic edge with direct views of the falls, we invite guests to pause, breathe, and savour life — one bite and one view at a time.
Whether it’s a romantic couple enjoying mist-kissed moments, a group tour in need of efficiency and delight, or a solo traveller seeking serenity — we welcome every guest like family.
We turn fresh fruits and vegetables into vibrant, eye-catching dishes that are as stunning as they are delicious.
From colorful carvings to playful plating, every meal is a work of edible art that tells a story of nature

I had an amazing stay at Ramboda Water Villa with breathtaking views. Those were simply stunning. Waking up to the sound of the nature was unforgettable. The food exceeded my expectations. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and felt amazing. The service was outstanding. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make my stay special, even preparing a packed breakfast when I had an early start. The peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and cool mountain air, made it the perfect place to relax. Highly recommend!

A lovely place to eat while watching the water cascade down the waterfall. The kitchen is quick to prepare the menu, and there are plenty of dishes to choose from if you want a buffet.
If you’re on this road visiting tea factories, this is a good place to stop and eat.

A lovely place to stop along the way. We arrived late, and they still waited for us. Very helpful.

Would you like bullets with your lunch?
We stopped here for a lunch after visiting a tea plantation, and can highly recommend this restaurant. The food was excellent and cheap, and the management spoke excellent English. The chicken fried rice was a winner with the kids, and the delicious devilled chicken meatballs and (cardamom-loaded) chicken black curry were items that we didn’t see on more tourist-focused menus elsewhere. The restaurant has a shady terrace overlooking a river with rapids, which you can bathe in. An unexpected bonus was that they offer a range of activities – including shooting – which our son tried his hand at whilst we were waiting for them to prepare our food. Hence the last line of the bill, which reads “Gun bullet Rs200” (for 10 rounds) – undoubtedly the oddest item I’ve ever had included on my restaurant bill! The restaurant also offers other activities such as archery and the shop sells excellent local honey (try it over yoghurt for a simple but scrumptious dessert).

we visited the place on our way to Colombo. Just stopped to see how the food was, then saw the waterfall behind the restaurant. A nice enviourment to relax. Food was nice( Rice and Curry with chicken was Rs 650 and with egg was Rs 600). Place /Toilets are clean and all furniture artistic. The lady who served us was very courteous always smiling. Can recommend anyone to be there

Thank you to our driver Sanjeewa who pulled in here for lunch on the way to Nuwara Eliya. The waterfall at the back of the restaurant is amazing. We visited in the cold and rain but the food was so delicious we forgot the negatives and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The staff are so friendly, the food is cheap and the curries are fresh and tasty.

We stopped here with our driver on our way to Nuwara Eliya, having just visited the Blue Field Tea Factory across the road. The staff were extremely attentive, the food was delicious and the view was stunning. We could hear the running water of the water fall before we saw it!

On returning we are absorbed by the dessert buffet. Very beautiful view of the river. You help yourself like at grandma’s in the casserole dishes, as you wish. Very good and very good. We discovered flavors especially in dessert.
